Service Description

Cheska brings you Yoga for Performing Artists. Being able to connect breath to movement, holding good postural alignment, moving while maintaining it and being able to activate correct muscle patterns to fire the core are all key to practicing yoga without incurring injury, whilst gaining the maximum benefits. It is also the same key that unlocks the performers’ body, mind and voice, enabling the actor to create extraordinary physical character. It is also the same key that keeps the actors’ body supple and free from injury, and the same key that keeps the actors’ mind healthy, reducing anxiety, performance-related or otherwise. These practices can be taught within a 10 week programme and will stay with you for life. Cheska is offering a 10 week online yoga programme for performing artists which has been especially designed for actors and road-tested by professional talent. The course has run before and is back by request. This course is yoga - but not as you know it. It trains the body, mind and voice specifically for the needs of an actor. Her programme also offers you two extra classes for free. A full-on yoga class, so you can test-drive your new skills, and a 30 min practical meditation lesson that enables you to actively bring calm into the real world. This course is for both couch potatoes as well as experienced yogis. There is something in here for everybody. Because every body is different. Equity discounts available.
